# Connect Zapnito to Zapier

> Use the Zapnito app on Zapier to connect your community to the tools your organisation already uses, without writing code.

The Zapnito app on Zapier connects your community to thousands of other tools. Build a Zap that starts when something happens in your community, or that makes changes in your community when something happens elsewhere.

You don't need to write code. If you want to build your own integration instead, use the [API](/api/v1/overview) or [webhooks](/webhooks/overview).

## Examples

Here are some examples of what you can automate with Zapier. Where a ready-made template exists, the example links to it.

* **Invite people from a form.** When someone submits a new Typeform entry, Zapier sends them an email invitation to join your community. Map the respondent's name and email address, and the email address of the person the invitation comes from. See the [Typeform template](https://zapier.com/apps/typeform/integrations/zapnito/1017594/invite-users-to-zapnito-communities-from-new-typeform-entries).
* **Keep your CRM up to date.** When a new user account is created in your community, Zapier creates a HubSpot contact, or updates the existing contact with the same email address. See the [HubSpot template](https://zapier.com/apps/hubspot/integrations/zapnito/1017071/add-new-zapnito-users-as-hubspot-contacts).
* **Grant access from CRM changes.** When a field you choose changes on a Salesforce record, such as a status, Zapier adds that person to a group in your community. Groups control permissions, so this can unlock premium content or communication access. Map the person's email address and the group's UUID, which identifies the group in the API. See [groups](/api/v1/groups) and the [Salesforce template](https://zapier.com/apps/salesforce/integrations/zapnito/1017580/add-users-to-zapnito-groups-for-newly-updated-fields-on-salesforce-records).
* **Alert your team to new discussions.** When a discussion is created in your community, Zapier posts a message to a Slack channel, so moderators can reply quickly.

And [many more](https://zapier.com/apps/zapnito/integrations).

## Set up a Zap

**1. Create a Zap**

In Zapier, create a new Zap, or start from a template. Choose Zapnito as the app for a trigger or action.

**2. Connect your community**

When Zapier asks, connect your Zapnito account.

**3. Map your fields**

Choose the data each step uses, such as the email address of the person to invite.

**4. Test and turn on your Zap**

Run a test in the Zap editor, check the result in your community, then turn the Zap on.
